SAS are involved in a variety of organisations all of which have a pivotal role in the SAS approach and process. These partnerships can be broadly split in to four areas:

Industry Regulations

There are a variety of organisations that are continually striving to improve industry standards. Depending on sector and focus, SAS works closely with them to ensure there is greater understanding of the factors in the design and construction of buildings.

The BCO (British Council of Offices) have a respected position in the specification and the design of commercial office buildings across the world. They set and develop vital guidelines in accordance with changes to legislation and developments in process and products.

The BCSE (British Council for School Environments) is committed to excellence in the design and standard of educational buildings. They strive to set design standards for the increasing development of this sector.

The Chilled Beam and Ceiling Association (CBCA) are driving forward the use of energy efficient heating and cooling in accordance with Part L requirements, Building labelling and the commitment to reduce the UK Carbon footprint.

Charted Institute of Building Service Engineers (CIBSE) Patrons currently promote best practise with Mechanical and Electrical engineers.

The Association of Interior Specialists (AIS) exists to ensure that the installation standard of interior products by contractors and sub-contractors within the construction industry is of the best possible standard.

Product Specification

The IHS manage the British Standards for the construction industry and the NBS (National Building Specification) the framework for the specification of building products are integral to providing information for the correct specification of building products.

Continued Professional Development

The RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) and the RIAI (Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland) are committed to ensuring that registered architects develop their knowledge and learning through CPD. SAS International offers a range of RIBA and RIAI approved CPDs covering Metal Ceilings, Coolceil Radiant Chilled Ceilings, Beams, ISMs and Architectural Metalwork.
