The
Company |
| |
SAS
is a World leader in the design and manufacture of precision engineered
metal systems for suspended ceilings and other architectural applications.
Formed in 1968, SAS has established a reputation for providing innovative
systems that are sympathetic to the building user's needs. The quality of
manufacture and finishing ensure outstanding durability which results in
low maintenance solutions with a life-span in excess of 25 years. |

Design |
| |
Being
involved in projects at design development stage is essential for SAS. This
consists of listening to project demands, design criteria and potential
areas of concern. This transparent relationship with the project team from
the beginning is instrumental in ensuring a project runs smoothly throughout.
With the knowledge and experience formed from product research and development
SAS are able to offer efficient and constructive design solutions using
the most contemporary technology available. When issues such as performance,
aesthetics and budget criteria are raised or designs are ambitious and new
the capacity and flexibility that SAS can offer is beneficial to the development
of ideas and concepts. Our factory based engineering staff in close liaison
with our sales executives provide designers and clients with immediate answers,
practicality, cost and delivery. |

the SAS team aim to give a constant and distinctive service throughout the

Project
management |
| |
Though
essentially a design and manufacturing business providing design and product
services to specialist installation contractors, SAS have a dedicated project
management division that will undertake complete projects through concept,
design and installation. A one stop design, cost and deliverable certainty.
On many of today’s major construction projects where clients wish to have
the comfort and benefit of all encompassing warranties, SAS are very pleased
to take on this role. In many cases we confer with the client and their
design team on their preferred on-site installation process, locally seconded
specialist contractor or personnel directly provided by the main contractor.
This approach is often preferred on major overseas projects where there
is an ample and capable local skilled workforce and commercial constraints
dictate the solution. |

Advanced
Manufacturing |
| |
The
three SAS UK manufacturing facilities rank amongst the most modern and fully
equipped in the world. Designed and built in accordance with stringent SAS
manufacturing processes each facility is responsible for different SAS products.
Our Bridgend facility in South Wales manufactures ceiling tiles, and heating
and cooling elements. West Bromwich produces partitioning and Maybole in
Scotland is responsible for architectural (specialist) metalwork. These
facilities also undertake research and development and constantly maintain
all aspects of the manufacturing process including tooling. This makes SAS
completely self sufficient when approaching any form of manufacturing. With
BS EN ISO 9001: 2000 accreditation and complete control over production
the SAS commitment exists to decrease the cost of manufacturing whilst maintaining
product quality and ensuring maximum value. |
| |
|
| |
Investment |
| |
The commitment
to invest in the continuous improvement of the SAS manufacturing facilities
is paramount. This is a major factor of our market leadership in the UK
and our commitment to value. It is integral to the increased success of
SAS as a business that all management processes are measured, reported on
and developed. Investment leads to new technology giving us more opportunity
to stretch the possibilities of design implementation, efficiency, new ideas
and solutions. SAS invest in their people. Employing the best, developing
their knowledge and skills thus contributing to the flexible and adaptable
nature of our business. SAS continues to differentiate itself through innovation
service and integrity. |
| |
|
| |
Environmental |
| |
It is the
objective of SAS to contribute where possible to adopt a responsible attitude
to protecting the environment by developing innovative and sustainable design
solutions. We collaborate to develop and adopt best practice sustainable
development. Our people endeavour to design and manufacture materials which
are durable, economic and don't require significant amounts of energy to
produce. Removing or reducing any environmental impacts associated with
a product or a service is done at the design stage. By using less materials
and energy; using non-toxic materials; designing a product that can be disassembled
at the end of its normal life, means components are recycled or reused and
retain residual value. |
