Replacing galvanised angle and wire: SAS International invests in machinery producing 40 pre-formed hangers per minute

4th July 2011

The newly designed Emac Hanger from SAS International is a significant component for installing all types of suspended ceilings. The UK manufacturer understands the importance of this crucial product to help projects be delivered on time and to budget, whilst eliminating excess wastage on site, and has invested in new machinery which enables production of over 40 Emac Hangers per minute, equating to 2,500 per hour.

Providing a cost-effective alternative to galvanised angle and wire, these pre-formed Emac Hangers allow for reduced installation time as the product removes the need to snip, punch, fold or apply angle cleats. This in turn provides additional health and safety benefits as they are supplied ready to use with no cutting required on site.

Pre-formed and available in a number of lengths the product reduces on site wastage. They also offer improved accuracy as the hanger is pre-punched vertically, ideal for most mechanical fixing to structural soffits, to provide quick fixing to grids or channels.

Malcolm Stamper at SAS International comments;”In this current climate and with rising material costs we are continuing our commitment to provide a value added service. This investment in machinery has not only reduced manufacturing overheads it has increased production which in turn has lowered costs that can be passed onto our customers.”
