SAS Direct opens new 25,000 sq ft depot in Barking

SAS Direct is pleased to announce the opening of its new 25,000 sq ft depot in Barking which will provide local contractors with competitively priced construction products.
Based on Gascoigne Road, the depot is located just off the A13 servicing Barking and East London. The depot stocks a full range of ceiling systems, partitioning and doors along with associated ranges including plasterboard and dry lining products.
The new depot also marks the appointment of Alyson Malone as manager of the Barking site. Alyson brings a wealth of experience and 13 years knowledge of the interior fit-out industry: “I’m thrilled to be joining the growing SAS Direct team”, commented Alyson, “Barking is well situated to serve the construction demands for the Olympics and the wider regeneration work happening all over East London. We have already seen significant interest for our products and there is real scope for the business to grow further.”
With trade counter facilities available local contractors can benefit from the extensive technical product knowledge of SAS Direct staff. The location also makes it easily accessible for customers to pick up products direct or order for next day delivery.
SAS Direct also provides a team of SAS Direct surveyors and glazing specialists available to install glass for its partitioning systems and other applications for projects across the UK. Furthermore, the opening of the new depot has created eight new jobs in the area.
SAS Direct has four additional UK depots located in Leeds, Burgess Hill, Birmingham and Reading, where the Head Office is also situated. As part of SAS Direct’s steady expansion, the company has recently doubled the size of its Birmingham depot, increased its lorry fleet, and plans to open more depots in the near future. |
